Über mich
Ich bin Tibeter. Ich bin in Tibet geboren und bin in der Schweiz aufgewachsen.
Als studierter Elektro-Ingenieur & Betriebsökonom war ich zuerst im Bankenwesen tätig.
In den frühen 1990er, reiste ich viele Jahre im Himalaya, um nach meinen Wurzeln zu suchen, meine Identität zu finden und meiner Seele ein Zuhause zu geben. Dabei erforschte und bereiste ich fast alle Ecken des Himalaya, von Norden nach Süden und von Osten nach Westen. Ich entdeckte die drei Provinzen Tibet, bekannt als Amdo, Kham und Ütsang. Ich besuchte Bhutan mehr als zehn Mal. Ich verbrachte Zeit in Ladakh im Winter, und natürlich verweilte ich auch wochenlange in Nepal. Aber auch Sikkim und Aruchanal Pradesh im indischen Himalaya, Geburtsort des 6. Dalai Lama besuchte ich schon mehrmals.
1998 gründete ich Tibet Culture & Trekking Tour (TCTT), ein führendes High-End-Reisebüro, das sich auf den Himalaya spezialisiert hat. Dies gab mir die Gelegenheit, mich mit meiner Heimat zu verbinden. Im Himalaya bin ich als "SwissDawa" bekannt.
Vom Entdeckerdrang gepackt habe ich unterdessen viel schöne Ziele rund um den Globus bereist.
Meine Reiseerfahrungen reichen von Bhutan bis Bora Bora, von Japan bis Südafrika und von Tibet bis Marokko.
Ob beim Trekking im Himalaya, beim Sternegucken in der Mongolei, beim Kreuzen durch die Südsee, auf der Harley entlang der Keys bis nach Key West, mit einem Expeditionsschiff rund um Kap Hoorn, beim Paddeln auf dem Mississippi, beim Eintauchen in das pulsierende Nachtleben von New York oder beim Entspannen in einer privaten Poolvilla auf Mauritius – Reisen in all seinen Facetten fasziniert mich bis heute.
Heute biete ich zusammen mit einem engagierten Team Luxus & Abenteuer orientierte Reisen weltweit an.

Als Tibeter mit Schweizer Bildungshintergrund verbinde ich

About me
I am Tibetan, born in Tibet and raised in Switzerland. With a background as a trained electrical engineer and business economist, I initially worked in the banking industry.
In the early 1990s, I embarked on an extensive journey through the Himalayas, seeking to reconnect with my roots and discover my identity – ultimately giving my soul a home.
I traveled across nearly every corner of the Himalayas, from north to south and east to west, covering Tibet's three provinces: Amdo, Kham, and Ütsang.
My travels have taken me to Bhutan more than ten times, and I have spent several winters in Ladakh, in addition to numerous visits to Nepal.
In 1998, I founded Tibet Culture & Trekking Tour (TCTT), a leading high-end travel agency specializing in the Himalayas, which allowed me to stay deeply connected to my homeland.
In the Himalayas, I am known as SwissDawa.
Driven by a passion for discovery, I have since explored some of the most beautiful places around the globe.
My travel experiences span from Bhutan to Bora Bora, Japan to South Africa, and Tibet to Morocco. Whether trekking in the Himalayas, stargazing in Mongolia, cruising the South Seas, riding a Harley all the way to Key West, sailing on an expedition ship around Cape Horn, paddling along the Mississippi, enjoying vibrant nights in New York, or relaxing in a private pool villa in Mauritius – travel in all its forms continues to fascinate me.
Today, together with a dedicated team, I design and curate luxury and adventure-oriented journeys worldwide.
