Über mich

 

Ich bin Tibeter. Ich bin in Tibet geboren und bin in der Schweiz aufgewachsen.
Als studierter  Elektro-Ingenieur & Betriebsökonom war ich zuerst im Bankenwesen tätig.
In den frühen 1990er, reiste ich viele Jahre im Himalaya, um nach meinen Wurzeln zu suchen, meine Identität zu finden und meiner Seele ein Zuhause zu geben. Dabei erforschte und bereiste ich fast alle Ecken des Himalaya, von Norden nach Süden und von Osten nach Westen. Ich entdeckte die drei Provinzen Tibet, bekannt als Amdo, Kham und Ütsang. Ich besuchte Bhutan mehr als zehn Mal. Ich verbrachte Zeit in Ladakh im Winter, und natürlich verweilte ich auch wochenlange in Nepal. Aber auch Sikkim und Aruchanal Pradesh im indischen Himalaya, Geburtsort des 6. Dalai Lama besuchte ich schon mehrmals.

 

1998 gründete ich Tibet Culture & Trekking Tour (TCTT), ein führendes High-End-Reisebüro, das sich auf den Himalaya spezialisiert hat. Dies gab mir die Gelegenheit, mich mit meiner Heimat zu verbinden. Im Himalaya bin ich als "SwissDawa" bekannt.

 

Vom Entdeckerdrang gepackt habe ich unterdessen viel schöne Ziele rund um den Globus bereist.  

 

Meine Reiseerfahrungen reichen heute von Bhutan bis Bora Bora, von Japan bis Südafrika oder auch von Tibet bis Marokko. Ob Trekking im Himalaya, unter dem Sternenhimmel der Mongolei, per Cruise durch die Südsee oder mit einem Raddampfer auf dem Mississippi, trendige Nächte in New York oder einfach in einer Poolvilla auf Mauritius, Reisen in jeder Form faszinier mich.

 

Heute biete ich zusammen mit einem engagierten Team Luxus & Abenteuer orientierte Reisen weltweit an.

Meine andere grosse Leidenschaft ist im Bereich Coaching, Mediation und Consulting.
Als Tibeter mit Schweizer Bildungshintergrund verbinde ich
westlichen Pragmatismus mit buddhistischer Weisheit und Gelassenheit.

About me

​

I am a Tibetan. I was born in Tibet and grew up in Switzerland.
As a trained electrical engineer & business economist, I first worked in the banking industry.
In the early 1990's, I travelled in the Himalayas for many years in order to search for my roots, to find my identity and to give my soul a home.
I explored almost all the corners of the Himalayas, from the north to the south and from the east to the west. I covered the three provinces of Tibet, known as Amdo, Kham and Ütsang. I visited Bhutan more than ten times. I spent time in Ladakh during winter, and of course, I also visited Nepal many times.

 

In 1998, I founded Tibet Culture & Trekking Tour (TCTT), a leading high-end travel agency specialising in the Himalayas. This gave me an opportunity to connect with my homeland.

In the Himalayas, I am known as “SwissDawa”.

 

In the meantime, gripped by the urge to discover, I have traveled to many beautiful places around the globe.  

 

My travel experiences today range from Bhutan to Bora Bora, from Japan to South Africa or from Tibet to Morocco. Whether trekking in the Himalayas, under the starry sky of Mongolia, cruising through the South Seas or with a paddle steamer on the Mississippi, trendy nights in New York or simply in a pool villa on Mauritius, travel in any form fascinates me.
